The night before last was productive in one way or another. I'd just finished my Aqua pages for BookArtz's 2007 Monthly Page Swap, True Colors (on the left). I thought I was on a roll but I just couldn't make my idea for blue and ochre pages work so I could swap for others' left-over January pages (which I'd missed). I think it will be nice to have all the pages in my book. So I put it aside and went to work on playing with the Color Mist paints I'd bought from Outside the Margins several months ago.
They'd been taunting me from their plastic box on the supply
I spread out some deli wrap and sprayed on colors. I was not impressed.
My only complaint is that the colors lack intensity. This is probably because instead of letting them deepen as they dried, the impatient one here had to put another sheet of deli wrap on top and make a monoprint, thereby speeding the drying time. Still, I felt that I could go to bed pleased with my results.
So, there's Monday night and some good work done. I put half of these in Belinda's envelope for hosting the arttechniques Paint Scraping and Inchies Swap, along with some other goodies.
