Here's what I'm up to right now. I got sick in April and went to the hospital eventually. And after giving me a bunch of blood, they decided to do surgery because they couldn't decide what was really wrong with me. So they discovered a whole bunch of stuff, including colon cancer.
So I'm working at getting better. I'm doing chemo. I'm doing surgeries. And I'm really working at getting better. The doctors say I will get better. And I say, "Hell, yeah, I'm getting better!" I don't like the alternative. You have to be positive about this. You just have to be. Being negative will pull you in the wrong direction. So I'm focused on being positive.
I have about a zillion people from every part of my life who are all cheering me on. And I appreciate each and every one of them and every comment or post on FB about it. One thing that is surprising. When you have cancer, you find out how absolutely fricking lucky you are. Because everyone will get behind you and give you the support you need to battle through the ordeal of being ill and having all these yucky treatments, surgeries, and side effects.
I guess I just wanted to tell you all why I've been sort of absent. And I still have hair. Long hair. But thinner long hair. *sigh*
I am going to be okay. Really. I am. Just think good thoughts for me, would ya? When you have a chance, send some positive thoughts my way. Help me kick cancer to the curb.
Thanks.
